Elliott Harrison (*1993), born in Toronto, earned his bachelor’s degree in percussion performance with a minor in Composition from McGill University (2015) in Montreal, Canada, completed both his master’s degree in Percussion Performance at the Hochschule für Musik Basel (2017) and his master’s degree in pedagogy (2019) in Basel, Switzerland, and completed an advanced master’s degree in contemporary music from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (2023). In 2022, he was awarded the prestigious Fritz Gerber Award by the Lucerne Festival.

Elliott is a flexible, open-minded performer who can move easily between genres such as classical orchestral music, contemporary chamber music, metal / rock / breakbeat on the drum set, music theater, body percussion, and sound poetry.

Notable performances with groups such as the hr-Sinfonieorchester, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Basel Sinfonietta, Theatre Basel, Bozzini Quartet, Ensemble Lemniscate, and Ensemble Ictus. Elliott has often collaborated with dancers from the P.A.R.T.S. dance program and has upcoming performances with the musicians of Ictus Ensemble in collaboration with the Rosas dance company.
